The digital exercises that inspired this worksheet

Secret Files

This exercise primarily targets concentration, working memory, and executive functioning skills. These cognitive skills are heavily used when we are problem solving. Because your client must use some degree of trial and error, they must remember which attempts were successful as well as which ones were not. They must then devise strategies that help them remember the category of each drawer and what words correspond to each category. We use these skills when we have to organize items in our home in a way that makes them accessible to us and presentable.

I Remember You!

We see people with familiar faces everyday. Facial recognition is important for remembering who our family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and classmates are. In this exercise, your client must correctly remember the face and name of a person and correctly place the face of a person with their name tag at a table.

Decipher

Correctly pairing symbols with meaningful letters requires attention to detail, working memory, and the use of both grammar and context clues. Your client will have to use the help or given vowels or consonants, or attempt to solve the puzzle through trial and error. Using working memory, your client must identify which letters have been correctly paired and use the solved character-letter pairings to figure out the remaining unknown character-letter pairings.
